Adjunct Assistant Professor Monica Chan graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK with BMedSci (1st) and BMBS (Hons) in 2002. She completed her MRCP (UK) in 2005. Since coming to Singapore, she has completed her Advanced Specialist Training in Infectious Diseases in 2011 and is currently a Senior Consultant at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Adj Asst Prof Chan has received a Masters of Clinical Investigation from the National University of Singapore in 2011. She received the Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship from Ministry of Health in 2013. Dr Monica Chan is an educator with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and was previously the Infectious Diseases Senior Residency Program Director from 2014 to 2019. She was appointed Head, Department of Infectious Diseases, Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 2019. Her areas of interests include outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy and bone and joint infections.​
