Ageing with HIV brings about a set of health challenges that require community support, specialised care, and a focus on overall well-being. As people with HIV progress in age, they also face age-related health issues, and the effects of HIV can complicate treatment and care for them. Providing support and being understanding can make a meaningful difference in their quality of life.
In conjunction with World AIDS Day, join us on an inspiring journey with Jason, a person living with HIV, to uncover the realities of living with HIV in older age. Learn about the intersection of HIV and ageing, gain insights into the healthcare needs of older people living with HIV, and discover ways to support them in leading fulfilling lives.
Who Should Attend
- General public
- Healthcare workers and students
- People who work with persons living with HIV
Event Details
This year, we are hosting both virtual and physical events to engage our community. The virtual session will focus on Jason's personal experiences ageing with HIV, while the physical event will offer hands-on learning for the general public and healthcare professionals. There are interactive booths where you can also meet experienced HIV healthcare professionals who will share their knowledge and expertise, and provide invaluable insights on HIV prevention, care, and support.
