National Medical Research Council grants

​​The National Medical Research Council (NMRC), established in 1994, is tasked to oversee the development and advancement of medical research in Singapore. It provides grants to support research from healthcare institutions; encourages collaborative research among scientists from different institutions; awards competitive research funds for individual researcher and helps to develop clinical-scientist through awards and fellowships.

Since its inception, it has built up the medical research capabilities in Singapore through the funding of more than 1,100 individual research projects and 13 national research programmes.
