The NCID Training and Education Unit caters to the ID training and professional development of healthcare workers in NCID, NHG, Singapore, including ID outbreak response training needs. Its reach is also regional and international, facilitating healthcare professionals in incoming attachments to NCID. The Unit works to develop the capabilities of individual healthcare workers and building the professional capabilities in different sectors, and professional education in conjunction with key partners. The office also plays an active role in public education, community partnerships and engagement with a view of enhancing knowledge and prevention of the spread of infectious diseases and to build community preparedness for outbreaks.
