NCID Research

Academic research and translation into clinical practice and public health policy is a vital part of national preparedness and defence against the threat of emerging infections. Aligned with the NCID mission, the NCID Research Office is a core unit within NCID to fulfil its unique role as a national asset with domain expertise in academic research and clinical excellence. NCID Research comprises 3 key components: ​

(i) NCID Research Office
(ii) the NCID Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory (IDRL)
(iii) the NCID Infectiou Diseases Research Clinic (IDRC)

 

NCID Research Office

The NCID Research Office oversees research at NCID and the maintenance of NCID research facilities, namely the ID Research Laboratory, the NCID Research Clinic and partners with Tan Tock Seng Hospital for the running of the P.H. Feng Research Ward. Also under this office is the SCRN@NCID (the Singapore Infectious Disease Research Network@NCID) which supports SCRN studies in NCID. SCRN promotes multicentre collaborative ID clinical research as well as outbreak research across Singapore. ​
